Love to Larry and all of the family. Wish I was there!

My family will be doing this walk in Midland in October. Our experience with ALS has been a crash course. ALS of Michigan were helpful in answering our initial questions. I was able to borrow a lift recliner for Dad from their loan closet. The local support group facilitator was patient when I had hard questions that needed honest answers.

If nothing else, please educate yourself a little bit on what ALS is. My dad can't move his limbs anymore. He can't walk or stand. He can't scratch an itch or make himself more comfortable. He is very hard to understand when he talks. He can feel everything.  His mind is exactly as it was less than a year ago when he was diagnosed. #ALSsucks
