Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon has resettled tens of thousands of refugees since 1979. With the complete halt of ALL refugees to the United States for four months, local resettlement organizations around the country will be devastated financially, as funding will also be halted. Your donations will enable us to keep our doors open during this four month moratorium, so that we can continue to provide vital support to refugees who have already arrived to our community. Your support will also prepare our program for the potential large volume of refugees arriving after the moratorium is lifted.
EMO provides for material needs for refugees upon their arrival to the United States and helps find affordable housing, transportation, and assistance with other tasks necessary to a new life.
Let's make sure that Portland can continue to meet all our refugees with compassion and welcome.
