A message from Fight for Phil
On Saturday, February 8, 2025, we will come together to take a plunge into icy ocean waters, a powerful act of solidarity with our local People with ALS (pALS). This special event honors the legacy of our beloved father, brother, uncle, and husband,Phil Barretti, and raises vital awareness and support for those impacted by ALS.
Phil was a fighter in every sense of the word, and his unwavering courage was never more evident than in his battle against ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. ALS is a relentless and unforgiving neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord responsible for controlling voluntary muscles. The toll on patients and their families is immense, making the fight for awareness, support, and a cure even more crucial.
In Phil’s memory, we take this plunge to bring hope and help to People with ALS and their loved ones. Funds raised will provide essential resources, care, and support while advancing research aimed at finding a cure.
