UPDATE FOR DAY OF TIMELINE

Hi everyone, with the plunge just a few days away I wanted to provide a quick update for anyone who is attending.
For anyone planning on getting in earlier on Saturday morning, Reef and Barrel in Manasquan has agreed to open at 10:00 am for us.  If anyone needs a little liquid courage before making the plunge a few of us will be here ahead of time.  Check in for the plunge is at Leggets in Manasquan from 10:00 to 11:45 the morning of the plunge so we sill probably head out of Reef and Barrel and over to the beach/check in around 11:15ish.
For those who are meeting at the beach, once you check in at Leggets we will try to meet on the north end of the roped off plunge area (to the left if you are looking at the water).  I am going to try and get a flag that says “Kold for Karen” on it so hopefully it helps people spot where our group is gathering.
After the plunge the plan is to head back to Reef and Barrel to reconvene (have a glass of Cavit maybe) and enjoy the rest of the day for anyone who is interested.
The weather looks promising right now and should be a great day to jump in some freezing water in honor of Karen.

______________________________________

On Saturday, February 10, 2024,  hundreds of us around Monmouth County and beyond will choose to jump in icy ocean water as an act of solidarity with our local PALS (People with ALS) because they are conquering immensely greater fears every minute of every day.

Team Kold for Karen will be taking the "Plunge" and raising money on behalf of Karen Sauer.  Karen brought a smile and joy to the lives of anyone she came in contact with.  Unfortunately this ugly disease took Karen from us way to soon.  This is a way we can honor her memory and help people who are now facing the same difficulties all people with ALS encounter.

Whether you knew Karen or not we encourage you to join the team, take the plunge, and raise funds for the PALS foundation in her memory.

We fully understand that jumping into the ice cold water in February is not for everyone.  The "plunge" we're asking you to make doesn't involve freezing cold water -- but it will make a big splash in the lives of our PALS. Simply click the "Donate" button above to make a secure online donation today to any team member of your choice.

We would love to see everyone there on the day of the plunge, either diving in or spectating.  More information to follow on a meet up location.

Thanks for joining the family!
