A message from Shrinking Richards

Saturday, February 7, 2026, 

Back for one last Plunge.  Almost 20 years ago, before the Ice Bucket Challenge, The Plunge for Love was started to support local people with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).   The IBC really gave visibility to this terrible disease, where your mind stays sharp, as your body slowly fails you.   We have supported friends who lived through this with their family members. So one last time, we're going into the cold water of Manasquan Beach.

Any donation you care to make will be greatly appreciated by our team (Claudia, Michelle, and me).   Over the years, Polina, Eugenia, and Aaron have also taken a plunge.  And to Vic, who passed away this year, for always providing support.

Mostly, thanks to all of you and your donations, for helping families navigate this debilitating disease
