Support The WALL in the 2017 11th Annual Valentine Plunge

A message from The WALL

We are families of Wall Township who fought the battle of ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.  Now we are responding in memory of our family member who fought hard but unfortunately lost the battle against ALS.

Some of us on The WALL have been plunging since 2012 and we look forward to plunging into the Atlantic Ocean on February 4, 2017 to raise funds for The Joan Dancy and PALS Foundation.  This foundation provides immediate assistance, services and programs that improve the quality of life for ALS patients and their families within our local communities.

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a disease that affects nerve cells in both the spinal cord and brain.  This causes motor neurons to degenerate and eventually die, leading to paralysis of the arms, legs and trunk muscles, as well as the muscles of that control vital functions such as speech, swallowing and breathing.

Thank you for supporting The WALL

as we plunge in the Atlantic on

February 4, 2017 at the Valentine Plunge.
