A message from Timothy O'Neill
Saturday, February 7, 2026, will mark the 20TH YEAR that we plunge into the frigid Atlantic to honor those suffering all the burdens associated with an ALS diagnosis. TEAM TIM has been a force united against this disease from the very beginning, and I cannot thank those who have been a part of this thing one way or another. We could not do it without you!!!
An extra special shoutout to those who have plunged, fundraised, and donated alongside us for 20 YEARS!!!
If you've ever been a part of Plunge Day, you know that it is a day filled with LOVE. For those who have never experienced it, I invite you to join us this year and come see what it's all about.
This year, TEAM TIM celebrates this milestone anniversary with a "20 Years of Love - Disco" theme. Donning costumes, disco balls, and a light buzz, we continue our fight against Lou Gehrig's Disease.
If you cannot be with us on plunge day, I ask that you donate what you can -- as all donations directly benefit patients and families struggling with the financial burdens associated with ALS care. Both the staytough. fightHARD. and Joan Dancy & PALS organizations have helped hundreds of patients in Monmouth & Ocean counties, as well as across the United States.
Plunge Day is one that I look forward to every year... the community, the energy, the chill of the ocean as I spend a few minutes thinking of my dad and imagining him smiling down at us, giving a wink (which became so important as a communication tool for him late in his life).
