A Golf Marathon in Phoenix in the Month of May?

What the Doubters are saying:

IT CAN'T BE DONE!!  IT'S TOO HOT!!  YOU'RE TOO OLD!!

Nevertheless, on May 20th, I'll be playing 100 holes over 12 hours with 20 other dedicated MentorKIds supporters to help provide a life changing summer experience for 150 Phoenix kids from under-resourced neighborhoods.

Through this seven week MentorKids Summer Camp each child will receive:

ENHANCED READING SKILLS TRAINING

Many children in these demographics lose 30% of their reading over the summer months.  However, over 80% of the children in MentorKids summer programs actually make reading gains!!

HELP WITH SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Through daily, well structured lessons they will also be encouraged to make gains in their understanding of Jesus' love  - many unto salvation!

CAREER "VISIONING" FIELD TRIPS

21 different Trips will include visits to Valley Companies, Colleges, Police, Fire, Governmental and Military settings to help the children lift their eyes to a future hope for careers far beyond their current expectations.

Many of these kids are going to be among the future leaders in the City of Phoenix and beyond! Perhaps a future Governor!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Please help MentorKids make this summer a life changing turning point for these children by making a tax-deductible gift.

All donations up to $800 for Couples Filing Jointly qualify for the Arizona Working Poor Tax Credit. So let's see if we can't get the State of Arizona help cover these costs.

My goal is to raise $5,000 so please consider a gift of $100 - $500 or even $800 to help me reach my goal.

Thanks and Blessings!

 John
