Peace heroes are everyday people who accept risk and succeed in making the world less violent and more just
What is peacebuilding?
Everyone gets angry. People with peacebuilding skills channel their anger to work for change. People can learn the knowledge and skills that allow us to make nonviolent responses to problems and conflicts.
You are a peace hero every time you make nonviolent responses to problems and conflicts. You are a peace hero every time you work for justice.
Peace hero ideals:
- Promote justice
- Reject vengeance
- Foster reconciliation
- Recognize the interconnectedness of all people
