Dear Friends and Fam,

It’s hard to believe that there are families who live in our prosperous country and have trouble feeding their families. But it’s true. In Minnesota, statistics tell us that 1 in 10 adults and 1 of 7 children experience food insecurity. Nationwide, 1 in 6 people face hunger. I’m sure you’ll agree that these statistics are disappointing.

We can do something about this.

I’d like you to be a part of a really special event that’s coming up. Each spring, Neighborhood House (a St. Paul organization that helps families move from just surviving to truly thriving) is involved in the March Food Drive, a statewide campaign through Minnesota Food Share. Last year, Neighborhood House was able to raise over $175,000/pounds of food for families who participate in our program and this year our goal is even bigger.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Follow this link and donate to my fund me link by going here:   link
  • Money goes three to four times further than food donations, since Neighborhood House purchases food in bulk. It takes just $36 to feed a family of four for a week. Host a food drive of your own (we’ll help you figure out how to do it!).
  • Volunteer your time.

Thanks for considering participating in this event. I know we can make a difference in helping bridge the food gap in Minnesota. You can see more information about Neighborhood House and the March Food Drive at www.neighb.org
