All Americans should have the right to direct their taxes solely to non-military purposes. It’s a matter of conscience and religious liberty for those opposed to war, and we believe our Church should become a vocal advocate for this right.
That is why we and the Peace Tax Foundation are running an ad in the National Catholic Reporter this fall, opposing the conscription of our tax dollars for war.
