Please sponsor my swim in the 21st Annual Great Newburgh to Beacon swim. I'll be swimming across the Hudson River, about 1 mile, to support the River Pool at Beacon.
Decades ago, having a floating pool in the Hudson River for kids was just a dream of Pete Seeger’s. Many years of effort resulted in raising awareness to pass legislation that helped make many places in the Hudson clean enough for humans to swim safely in it.
This summer, the pool enters its 15th year of operation.
