The Hudson River has inspired me since I moved to the mid-Hudson Valley after attending college in Troy, NY. I've supported the River Pool at Beacon since the first Annual Great Newburgh to Beacon Hudson River Swim in 2004. I swim in the wake of Pete Seeger who believed that River stewardship begins with being on, near and in the river.
