We lived in Newburgh for 15 years, and the entrance to the walkway of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge was pretty much at the end of our driveway. We walked (Michael ran) on it many times, pre-kids and then with strollers, high above the waters and surrounded by majestic Hudson Highlands. The idea of swimming in the middle of that river is just so magical to me and I can't wait!
