In just 3 months, I’ll be joining over 200 other swimmers making our way, once again, across the Hudson River from Newburgh to Beacon. We’re taking part in the annual Great Hudson River Swim on Saturday August 1st to raise funds for the River Pool at Beacon. Originally envisioned by Pete Seeger and made a reality by a dedicated group of passionate volunteers, the River Pool at Beacon offers a completely free place where families can gather, play, and splash in the river on hot summer days.
Even with so many people volunteering their time and energy to keep the pool in excellent safe condition, there are lifeguards to pay, upkeep and repairs to be made. This is the River Pool at Beacon’s one big fundraiser. I’m hoping to raise, with your help, $1,000 this year. Last year we came very close and I’m so appreciative of every donation! There’s no donation too small. I hope you will join me in achieving this year’s fundraising goal and supporting the River Pool at Beacon. Thank you so much!
