Donations will help 10 Books A Home enroll more than 50 new families from high-poverty neighborhoods in East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park, providing preschoolers with weekly tutoring, learning activities and materials, customized lesson plans and support. Goal: $50,000

Donations will help Abode Services provide supplies and services — such as groceries, furniture or security deposits — for formerly homeless veterans as they seek and maintain housing. Goal: $20,000

Donations will support Alum Rock Counseling Center’s Mentoring Program at Ocala STEAM Academy in East San Jose, which provides at-risk middle school students with academic and emotional support to help prevent them from falling into a cycle of school failure and delinquency. Goal: $25,000

Donations will help Breakthrough Silicon Valley make college dreams possible for 74 low-income high school students in the Class of 2019 by funding a three-day college tour in Southern California to visit all types of schools. Goal: $15,000

Donations will go to the Foothill-De Anza Foundation to support food pantries at Foothill and De Anza colleges, which provide vulnerable students with blankets and toiletry items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and soap, and cards to purchase food and other essential personal-care needs. Goal: $12,000

Donations will support the Home Repair program of Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, which has helped San Jose homeowners reclaim their mobile homes after the Coyote Creek flooding. $50 can help pay for a kitchen sink, $100 for a window, $250 for a front door, $500 for kitchen flooring, $1,000 to paint a family's house. Goal: $150,000

Donations will help Happy Hollow Foundation provide 500 admission passes to 100 families who were affected by the San Jose floods last year. Goal: $4,625

Donations will help Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services fund its Camp Heart + Hands, a weeklong camp for kids with cancer. Goal: $10,000

Donations will help Jasper Ridge Farm offer equine-assisted therapy programs free of charge to veterans, active military, and children facing life threatening illness, living with special needs or facing family challenges such as homelessness and domestic violence. Goal: $20,000

Donations will help Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley purchase needed items like food, gas, bus passes, household goods, clothes and school supplies for 150-175 very low-income refugees, and offer case-management services and coaching to help them become self-sufficient. Goal: $20,000

Donations will help JobTrain provide transportation passes, work uniforms and text books for 150 low-income youth and adults in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties as they go through accredited career training programs. Goal: $6,500

Donations will go to My New Red Shoes’ Clothing for Confidence Program in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, which provides access to new school shoes and clothing for more than 500 homeless or impoverished children. Each child will be provided with a pair of new athletic shoes and a clothing gift card. Goal: $30,000

Donations will help Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence provide crisis services such as its 24-hour hotline and shelter; community advocacy such as legal assistance; and support services such as kids clubs and support groups. Goal: $25,000

Donations will help onRoute22 provide homeless and at-risk women with supportive workshops; an emergency fund to cover things like clothes, medication or transportation; and sewing equipment to help develop work skills. Goal: $15,000

Donations will help Pathways Home Health & Hospice provide services such as home nursing, medical supplies and bereavement counseling to underinsured seniors living in Santa Clara County. Goal: $10,000

Donations will help Recovery Café San Jose provide expanded hours and program services such as support groups, classes in job and life skills, shared meals, and social activities for people traumatized by addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. Goal: $20,000

Donations will help Sourcewise's Transit Service offer free rides for seniors in southern Santa Clara County to Morgan Hill and Gilroy senior centers. Goal: $20,000

Donations will help The Health Trust’s Meals on Wheels program make 500 more home visits in 2018 to deliver a week’s worth of fresh meals to a senior. One week of meals costs $77. Goal: $38,500

Donations will help Via Services host a monthly Parents Night Out for parents of special-needs children. Staff members will provide knowledgeable, reliable childcare so parents can get a much-needed respite. Goal: $19,320

Donations will fund Youth Science Institute class scholarships so they can provide free, hands-on, nature-based science programs to over 1,100 low-income students in San Jose. Goal: $25,000
