Sankofa Film Screening

Join us on Wednesday, October 12 from 2:00 - 4:25 for a screening of the Ethiopian-produced film Sankofa. Produced by the celebrated Ethiopian filmmaker Haile Gerima, the film centers on the Atlantic slave trade, and features Oyafunmike Ogunlano, Kofi Ghanaba, Mutabaruka, Alexandra Duah, and Afemo Omilami. 

Following the screening, Kelly Brown Douglas, Dean of the EDS at Union, will debrief the film with the audience. This screening is part of EDS at Union's Expanding the Moral Imaginary Through Film project. Cohort members will be on campus for a day of events including the screening.

All in-person attendees must adhere to Union's Visitor's policy. Union Students will need to present their student ID upon arrival. All visitors to Union must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and Booster, and complete a Visitor Attestation and COVID-19 Acknowledgment Form at the reception desk upon arrival to campus.
